Dr. Supreet Prabhu is the Chief E.N.T. consultant in this hospital since last 15 years. He has more than 20 years experience in providing tertiary care in the field of E.N.T. and Head & Neck surgery. He secured his post graduate degree in this field from the prestigious Baroda Medical College of M. S. University of Vadodara standing FIRST in the exams.
He is the youngest E.N.T. surgeon to have been awarded the prestigious R.A.F. Cooper award and Gold medal at the age of 29 yrs. This National award is bestowed upon for the best original research in the field of E.N.T. Dr. Prabhu’s research was in the field of Adenoids & Tonsils and their effect on middle ear functions. He has also secured the S.D. Parikh award in the Junior & Senior category in the State of Gujarat and innumerable prizes during his residency for paper presentation.
He was invited to the International Conference on Head & Neck cancer to deliver a speech on the ‘Pattern of Metastasis in Head & Neck malignancy’. He is a pioneer in doing the German technique of ‘Pallisade Cartilage Tympanoplasty’ in the state of Gujarat with a success rate of over 90%. He is the editorial board member of ‘National Journal of Otorhinolaryngology and Head & Neck surgery’ and is a regularly invited at various forums for delivering speeches & being a part of important panel discussions.
He has a great passion for teaching both undergraduate and post graduate students. In the initial part of his illustrious career spanning two decades he was an Assistant Professor in the Department of E.N.T. & Head & Neck Surgery and now is now Head of Department of General Surgery in the Faculty of Dental Sciences, Dharmsinh Desai University, Nadiad.
